This is wat kept me busy nowadays.. my new BlackBerry Curve Javelin and my Toshiba Netbook.. I get to know this 'ugly but super fun' phone from www.xiaxue.blogspot.com , apparently, it'sWendy's (xiaxue) friend who kept asking her to buy this phone, because its so fun and useful, and smart, but same as almost every girls, we find it big and ugly.. especially the keyboard, which is black and look so complicated. But eventually, Wendy bought it, and even gave details reviews and tips on how to use it, which i find it very helpful and interesting. My interest on thisphone grows as ZJ kept telling me how gd this phone is too, and i'd been trying to get another phone all this while, just that i couldn't decide what to buy, wanted to get E71 at first, the whiteone, because its so sleek and stylish, but in the end, i got this BB, as i find it really good and its really a 'SMART PHONE'!
After a few days of consideration, i finally head down to the Plaza Singapura's M1 shop with ZJto sign up for M1's student plan (thanks to zj) and the blackberry data plan of 1gb. The initial price was $398 with the lowest plan signed, but upon signing up for the data plan, an additional$16+ a month which allows u to upload photos straight to facebook, blogger, or use applicationslike twitter and fml.com and windows live messenger i find it really worth it, as it keeps meentertained wherever i go, there's a deduction of $100 off the handset, so in the end, i just paid$298 for the phone, without any trade it, gd deal right?? Then i realise, that ever since Wendyposted this phone on her blog, alot of people is starting to get this phone already.. Haha, thanksto Xiaxue's reviews on it.. otherwise mostly people who sees a blackberry will say ' Eee! So bigand ugly! ' Now next, My Toshiba NetBook!!!
Went to the PC fair with mummy on last Friday, searching for a Mini Laptop which then i know, its call 'NetBook'. Haha, initially, wanted to get the ASUS Eee PC Seashell, because its white, and its very slim and with the usual glossy cover. But mummy always prefer Japan brand, and after walking around the entire place, considering brands like Fujitsu, Toshiba, Asus and Sony, i finallydecided to get Toshiba. It looks completely different of what i wanted in the first place, but i findthe brown matt cover really nice, and the keyboard is silver (metal-like) type, and the keys areseparated for better typing, not like the traditonal ones, which are all like 'stick' together, and itshard to type especially for long nails. Sony Vaio Pocket one i nice, but expensive and i find it really really small and hard to view pages.. Haha
What makes me mad is that after a tiring day at the PC show, with sooooo many people walking and squeezing around, when i brought home my netbook and finally tried to turn it on, it can'teven turn on! After hours of desperation trying to call the hotline and stuff, i finally concluded tttts a damaged set tt i'd bought. Thanks to Mummy and Kevin, who helped me to bring it down again the next day to exchange another set back. The sales person from Harvey Norman is veryrude, not even apologetic at all, never even want to compensate anything for wasting our time, customer service is so bad. Initially he said tt its because of the ram, which i upgraded it from 1gb to 2gb, which is the ram spoilt, and he say tt he will change the ram for me, but mummy and her friend kept insisting to change a BRAND NEW ONE. Finally, he agreed to change. Hais, their customer service sucks..
Now my Happy Net Book is WORKING!!! Hope that it will survive long *pray*
